The people who know me most may say that...

I love food!! But really, a great meal (or candy) is the best right?!

Here are my favs... In no particular order...

Sour patch kids! You know, "First they're sour, then they're sweet!" I keep these at stocked at the office when I need a pick me up. :)

CILANTRO in anything. It makes just about everything better. Except for maybe Sour Patch Kids...

Specifically Tableside House Guacamole by El Sol (Cape Girardeau) if you haven't had guac made like this and haven't eaten it all in one sitting, you aren't living. They make it in front of you, (unless you get it to-go like I do!) and it's so perfectly portioned in cilantro, lime, and pomegranate. Ugh, my mouth is watering.

Chicken noodle bowl from Pho8 (a Cape Girardeau Vietnamese cafe) All I can say - yummy, light, and tastes so refreshing! Chicken, rice noodles, fresh made Vietnamese slaw, ground peanut, and CILANTRO!!! So even better...

Spicy Chicken Chili
My friend Michele introduced me to this specific recipe and makes it for us all the time! I finally began to make it for myself and both of our families (who love it) It's probably my favorite of all time. No cilantro - but I bet I could add... Hmmm I'll share the recipe soon!

Baked potato wedges - ohhhhh mouth watering... Tossed in Parmesan, paprika, and salt. And dipped in your favorite dipping sauce!

Papa Murphys Veggie DeLite pizza!! With their white sauce! Ohhhh delightful!

Secret family recipe Cinnamon rolls!

Homemade nachos with black beans, avocado, pico, cheese, sour cream, and of course cilantro.

Who doesn't love s'mores?!

So you're welcome for that...

What are your favs?! I'm clearly open to more suggestions! :)

Today is one of my favorite days of the week!

Saturdays at our house usually equate to sleeping in, snuggles, cartoons, and farmers market in historic downtown Cape Girardeau. And that's just in the morning!

If you've never visited downtown Cape Girardeau, it's the perfect place to be on Saturdays. Lots of shopping in quaint little shops, almost all of which are family-owned small businesses. B&Bs, shopping, yummy cafe food. Be sure to stop at Spanish Street Mercantile for yummy homemade ice cream (strawberry is the best) and old fashion sodas! And then for a pick-me-up latte at Dynamite Coffee! The farmers market is awesome and boasts of the yummiest Amish homemade doughnuts you've ever had. But really, the coolest part of the downtown area are the people and the history! Zickfields is a jewelry and gift shop that's been in business almost 76 years!! And the owners are pretty fabulous. So many people willing stop and chat and share the beauty with you!

This morning's haul during our family time. Maybe I bought an extra doughnut for later...

As a momma, I think her first day went pretty well! No tears and momma stayed strong too (almost lost it once, but I held on)! We are working to adjust to school life, but she has such a great outlook! She's already planning which center she wants to play at tomorrow.
